Clear Chalk Paint® Wax

Use Chalk Paint® Wax to seal and protect furniture and walls painted with Chalk Paint® decorative paint.

Chalk Paint® Wax emphasises depth of colour and gives a beautiful mellow finish, or can be buffed to a high sheen.

To achieve Annie's signature look, apply a thin coat of wax over your painted surface with an Annie Sloan Wax Brush.

Work in small areas at a time, wiping off any excess with a clean cloth.

For a distressed look, sand back to reveal a little of the wood or paint underneath before applying a second coat of wax.

Chalk Paint® Wax is not suitable for outdoor use.

For furniture that is exposed to extreme temperatures & moisture like in kitchen,bathroom and outdoors, and surfaces that are prone to a lot of wear and tear like table tops, dining tables etc it's recommended to seal with Annie Sloan Lacquer.

After care: wipe clean with a damp cloth.

For tough marks, use a proprietary spray cleaner and rewax where necessary.

As a rough guide, you will need one 500ml tin of wax for every 2-3 litres of paint – of course, this will vary depending on how many coats of paint or wax you use to cover a piece.
